any good street magic sites?

I now want to find a good street magic site..but they all suck…i’m just starting but i learn quick….EASY 10 POINTS!!!

Finding solutions to magic tricks is about knowing what to search for.

One small site featuring videos and some solutions is: http://www.magicsir.com/category/close-up-tricks/

Here’s another site with 10 tricks revealed:

http://ei-am.blogspot.com/2007/01/top-10-magic-trick-tutorial-videos_21.html

The following 2 links are the trick, and its solution, respectively:

This one is about Levitation:

Heal and Seal Soda Can – preformed by David Blaine, then the answer:

-many tricks have variations to it’s solution. In this example, fire can burn black soot onto the can giving it the same effect as black paper, which can be rubbed off.

There was a 5 part series called, Breaking the Magicians’ Code: Magic’s Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed. If you can find those videos, you’ll be entertained for 5 hours but many of those solutions are for stage acts and lesser for street tricks. I cannot provide you with a link to those 5 videos as they have been deleted but the title may give u a lead to begin your search.

Some current famous magicians are:
Cyril Takayama
David Blaine
Criss Angel
YouTube their tricks to learn the name of a trick that interests you, then google the trick with additional words such as ‘revealed’, ‘solution’ or ‘answer’
All these tips should keep you occupied for some time.

Assuming you want to learn tricks for free, the above are some methods. You can also search your local library for books or run another search to learn basic techniques used in magic. With the basics, you’ll be able to invent a handful of your own acts.

As a last resort, which will cost you, try a local magic store or a site that will sell you solutions.

Best of luck!

Where can I purchase a magic kit?

Kind of a weird birthday present request, but I’m looking for a magic kit. I’m curious as to what store sell them? I’d prefer not to order it online, as shipping would take too long. Any ideas? Thanks!

Well at some bigger libraries, like umm Barnes&Noble they sell cheap magic kits, and it’s pretty famous so there should be one near you

how does the magic trick, "coin squeeze", work?

my PE teacher is really into magic tricks, and he did one today that really threw me, he put some quarters in an open container the side with the quarters, face down on the table, then the other half of the container under the table. he swirled his hand around (i know that part is pointless) the container on top, then knocked on the half on the desk…the coins where then under the table in the other half. he wasn’t wearing a jacket, i paid VERY close attention their is NO WAY he slipped them out.
it is the very first time a "magic trick" has baffled me so i would really appreciate it if some one can explain how that "trick" works. you can e-mail me if you dont want everyone to read it and know the secret.
squeaker12268@yahoo.com
please help me with this one, i am beyond words to describe how confused i am.
thank you to everyone who helps!

The container halves have flaps to capture and release the coins and the coins in the bottom cup are not necessarily those in the top. Depending on how good he is at handling them, they don’t even have to have that but it is easier (less manipulation) I’ll bet the cups make noise when they are clapped into place. You might ask him whether you can mark the top coins, say with magic marker.
A good manipulator can pull the coins from the top container and "palm" them, perhaps assisted by a hollow bottom that allows shaking to "prove" the coins are still in the cup. The palmed coins are deposited in the lower cup.
If you don’t know it already, a good manipulator can work directly in front of you with cards, coins, or cigarettes and move them from palm side to back side and you will never see them. Hand magic.
