I’ve owned both the bite out quarter and the folding quarter. Both work fine for the quarter bite and I’ve never had a problem with anyone spotting the gimmick on either coin. However, it just makes more sense to me to buy the folding quarter as oppose to the bite out quarter, because of the added effect of “coin through bottle.” If you just use the quarter for the “bite out effect” the gimmick should last you a long time. Practicing the ‘quarter through bottle trick’ alot will result in a broken elastic. They give you a few replacement bands which is nice, but you should also consider buying them too. This way here you can practice without worry, and when your ready to perform you can put in a fresh rubber band so it won’t break in front of a spectator. This quarter can fit in some bottles, but not as easily the folding quarter and is a lot more difficult to get them out. Since they are both usually around the same price I would get the folding quarter so you get 2 effects in 1. However, if you already have a coin in bottle routine, you should get this one because you can flash more of this coin without worry. Learn a decent coin switch and your hard pressed to find a more visual practical street magic trick for the price. I’ve performed it in bars, the street, parties, and for friends. Great opener!

Street performers blow people’s mind with this trick. I never got around to practicing with it, but it’s still a great trick.

My nine year old son has a huge interest in doing magic so I bought this quarter for him to start with. He practiced and come up with a routine using some slight of hand techniques borrowing a real quarter. He has really used this product as a seed to learn other tricks and found other ways to use this coin in other tricks. I do suggest buying a pack of extra rubberbands with this coin because they do not last very long if it is used a lot. The quarter is machined very nicely and certainly is well worth the money.
