Are these type of tricks very difficult to do close up? I would not think so, you probably just need a very sly hand. But then again I just downloaded 15 free close up magic tricks from http://Camatoo.com/EzMagic and none of the tricks in there involve a hand, a coin and the coin dissapearing. There is just some coin elbow trick which I think is real cheesy? LOL!

A sly hand is not something a person is born with, not that you were implying that. Having done magic shows for quite some time I can tell you that it just takes a lot of practice. A lot. I’d spend hours working on one trick/illusion/manipulation in front of a mirror until I could "fool" myself. No one is closer to the trick than the magician and if you can’t "see" it, then your audience can’t either. There are many "trick" coins available; varying in cost based on material. "Johnson" makes the best coins I know of. If there is another that has better action than a Johnson, I’d like to know about it.
