Knowing how to do a trick is not the same as being a magician. You still have to ‘sell’ the trick- a good trick is a small play- an introduction, the action, a climax, and a denoument.

This video shows the use of a gimmick called a ‘pull’. It is a limited way to accomplish something- it takes some set-up and it is a one-shot deal without a reset.

REAL magic can accomplish the same thing in better ways. I could vanish that pen cap, and make it reappear where I want it- no pull, short sleeves (or nude), no preparation… only skill and practice.

Magic is cool… but too many wannabes are just showing tricks in a mediocre way. Please don’t add to the problem.
