We are buying a house and will need a fridge. I found a great deal on a new fridge, but its still about 4 weeks till we will be able to move in to our new house. I have a storage unit that is not climate controlled, and I live in Texas, so it gets pretty hot in there. Would I be able to store the new fridge for a couple weeks, without worrying about ruining it?
I would imagine that they have to be stored in some pretty hot warehouses, and also stay in hot trucks in places, so I’d guess it will be ok.
Don’t try to run in though. Even in a garage, they are not reliable above and below certain temperatures.

So long as it is not freezing, and you are just storing it, not running it you should be ok.

Storing it should not be a problem, but be sure to either remove or leave the door open. This will eliminate smells forming.
