I am moving and I will not be setting up my fish tank for a while. I have found a home for the fish but I’m concerned with storing the fish tank empty for a long time. I’ve heard that this can lead to cracking of the sealant and the tank will not be able to hold water. Not sure if this is true. I was planning to store my tank in my storage shed but it’s not air conditioned or heated so the tank may get very hot or frozen. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks!

It should not matter if it is hot or cold when storing a tank. This should not lead to cracking. Especially if there is no water in the tank. I always suggest taking the rocks and decor out. You also may want to tape the glass (x ing with tape) if it is going to be in storage. This is basically for if something should fall against it. Unfortunately aquarium glass for the most part is not shatter proof.
