How can I have a sense of humor when ever im performing illusions/magic in front of an audience on stage? My school talent show just passed and next year I want to have a really, really,REALLY funny sense of humor. I wanna kinda joke around with the audience. like a comedian magician. you know were im comin from? I dont want the jokes to be nock nock jokes or yo mamma jokes cause those are gay and thats not even what I mean. What I mean is a sense of humor like for example " okay guys what I am about to do, is very dangerous so do not try this trick UNTIL you get home… or at your neighbors house" lol I said that in front of the audience at my school talent show and they laughed like heck. Any ideas like the one I just said? I want to have a sense of humor like wacky chad the stunt comedian if you ever heard of him.
Involve the audience in your routine. Play to them, and you will get the biggest reaction. One tactic that always gets a big laugh is when you are going to do your trick, say you went out into the audience to tell someone to pick a card. Play the right card, sit on an unsuspecting person's lap. Give your phone number out to a cute girl in the 3rd row. Little subtle things that don't really need explanation. References :
